We are open from the 1st April to early November. If Easter falls before April 1st we will be open one week before Good Friday.
Charges per night are:
- £15 per adult
Electric hook-up for tents (£6 per night) is only available on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis and therefore can’t be guaranteed – there are a limited number on site. EHU is payable to the warden when on site. You MUST have a 240V outdoor 3-pin ‘blue’ plug for our electric hook-up points.

You must book online and pay as directed.
You can arrive whenever you wish, but please be considerate to other guests if you intend to arrive before 8am or after 10pm to keep noise to a minimum.
We are flexible on departure times.
- You will find our shower and toilet block at the centre of the site.
- There is a washing up area and a chemical disposal point.
- There is an area to wash muddy dogs and mountain bikes.
- Laundry facilities can be found within the Showcaves Coffee Shop during the main tourist season.
- Recycling options are available on site.
Dogs are welcome to stay free of charge! They must be kept on a short lead at all times whilst on site, and owners must bring doggy bags and dispose of them correctly. Maximum of two family friendly dogs per pitch.
We don’t accept them.
We expect all our guests to be considerate and respectful to others throughout their stay and ask that noise be kept to a minimum during the hours of 10.00pm and 8.00am.
Free Wi-Fi is available. The Wi-Fi code can be found within the information panel situated near the Ladies toilets. The best signal can be found near the facilities in the centre of the site.
Yes. You’re welcome to bring along a BBQ or a firepit, as long as they are raised up and don’t scorch the ground underneath. Campfires are NOT PERMITTED anywhere on site.

Yes, we are in a mountainous area, so don’t expect any street lighting!

The nearest supermarkets are TESCO in Ystradgynlais (SA9 1AD), and ASDA in Ystalyfera (SA9 2DE).
Both are approximately a 10-minute drive from the site.
No. We strongly recommend that you arrive with FULL gas cylinders as there is very limited availability locally.
Yes, the staff at the Coffee Shop will be happy to help with this during the main tourist season.
Yes, we strongly advise using ‘Rock Pegs’ or ‘Cross Nail Pegs’, as in the National Park aluminium pegs may bend!
Yes, all mountainous areas get ‘midges’ at certain times of the year.

The Showcaves Coffee Shop is open from 9.30am to 4.00pm during the main tourist season (please click here for attraction opening dates). We serve hot and cold drinks, snacks, cakes and biscuits, and hot food is available between 12.00pm and 2.00pm.
